Client: Connexions Tyne & Wear
Features: A multi-entry-point web application that uses Connexions data and allows mapping of students to work experience placements, has an online student diary and can record and provide skills achieved plus award a certificate of achievement.
 This website is part of the World of Work (WoW) initiative which was supported by Connexions Tyne and Wear and TWEBLO. World of Work aims to contribute towards a quality experience of work for young people by encouraging the development of employability and key skills. Mastery of these skills is recorded and a certificate awarded to recognise achievement.
The Work Experience website is on three levels. It provides information about work experience for students, parents/carers and employers; it displays current placement information via a login and supports a personal diary to record experiences; and finallly it offers school co-ordinators a tool to match students to placements, assess achievements and award a certificate. All of these functions are integrated and online.
