Hartlepool Prospectus : ILP Consultation (08-05-2008)

We would like you to participate in the development of the Hartlepool Area Prospectus. The Area Prospectus is a suite of web applications for young people aged 14-19. It includes an online prospectus, individual learning plans and a common application process.

How can you help? Easy. Please look at the resources listed below and complete the response form that follows.

1. Structure - Content (Wireframes) Click here to look at the Hartlepool Area Prospectus wireframe. (NB The link opens in a new window. This may be blocked by a pop-up blocker feature which you will need to allow / disable. Look for messages at the top of the browser window.) Comment using the 'Structure - Content' section of the form below.

Wireframes are an important website development tool to model site structures, content and navigation. No graphics are used and content is simply mapped or blocked out to show relative positions of content and navigation menus.

2. Design Click any of the thumbnail pictures below to see alternative designs for the Area Prospectus website. Comment using the 'Design' section of the form below.

Hart 1 showing Plan (section) to Y10 (sub-section) to Learning Plan (sub-menu). At this third level tier there is often a learner form or activity (right) with a short intro (left). Roll-over help text will be added to support completion. Please focus on design rather than content.Hart 1a a variant on Hart1 showing Plan (section) to Y10 (sub-section) no sub-menu selected. This page is an introduction to Y10 content. It can draw summary content from any form. The solid background for the summary is in contrast to the more open Hart1 with a border. Please focus on design rather than content.Hart 1b is also a variant on Hart1 showing Plan (section) to Y10 (sub-section) no sub-menu selected. This page is also an introduction to Y10 content, but offers a change of colour and a slightly different layout. The sub-section heading left has also been styled differently and the logged-in learner is identified on the sub-section menu bar itself. Please focus on design rather than content.Hart 2 is an alternative showing Explore (section) to Jobs (sub-section) and Construction (sub-menu). Explore is the existing online Prospectus. As well as a marked change of style, the page uses the left column for the menu. The corresponding page in Hart1 would have this menu handled as a drop-down list allowing the left menu to be used for a short intro. Please focus on design rather than content.Hart 3 is again an alternative showing Explore (section) no sub-section and no sub-menu selected. The left column in what is effectively a Home page shows a case study with other content in this section highlighted. Menus would probably be handled in the left column, but a combination with other layouts could be considered. Please focus on design rather than content.
