In With The New

Site FlyerMITAC Partnership Ltd has celebrated the new year with a brand new website. Putting it together has provided a rare opportunity to reflect on what has been achieved in 2005 and what is hoped for in 2006. Ian Reid reflects.

I don't want this to sound like a tacky Christmas card "life update", but I think we have plenty of achievements in 2005 of which we can be proud. And by "we" I don't just mean Peter, Chris, Alex and I, but all of the colleagues with whom we have worked over the course the year.

First and latest major achievement of course is this site. We set out to test our Management Console CMS and also to prove that we had a great deal to offer on the design side. The result? Well check it out for yourself.

The year has also seen major advances in the E2E Passport support website and all our limited development resource has been ploughed into improvements to the Passport Manager program. The Passport website has all the details.

We have also completed major websites for B-Skill, Yorkshire Cochlear Implant Service, ESPO as well as upgrades to all E2E Hub sites and ST19 and NCLearn course finder portals.

As the year turns we are starting to put together a new portal for Sunderland 14-19 Partnership and work is almost complete on an overhaul of the Gateshead Logic@16 site. Work in this area has even attracted the attention of DfES and we are part of an NFER Evaluation study.

And my hopes for 2006? I like to think of our team as small but perfectly formed. And with that kind of confidence, anything is possible.
