Development of paper-based resources for the LSC's Safe Learner programme has led to exciting plans for a new interactive website.
 The development of a paper-based resource pack for the LSC's Safe Learner programme has led to exciting plans for simple interactive website. The resource pack looks at health and safety issues from the perspective of an imaginary company called Toolkitz. The issues raised cover elements of the Safe Learner programme at Level One through situations involving Toolkitz's workforce.
The pack is set at an introductory level and aims to promote literacy and numeracy as well as Safe Learner competence.
The website will use the visuals from the resources pack and develop the activities using Flash. No plans exist for more complex functions like login, assessment, record keeping, etc, but he potential is enormous. |
