 Work is already progressing well on the new Logic@16 portal. As well as a completely new design, the new site will use MITAC Partnership's Management Console and feature a completely new way of tracking down job and course information - by occupational sectors.
Why sectors? The recent 14-19 White Paper set out ambitious plans for reforming learning for young people in Key Stage 4 and across the range of choices post-16. One of the more radical reforms is to introduce Specialist Diplomas based on occupational sectors like Engineering, Health and Social Care, ICT, etc.
The Gateshead Partnership are also keen to create an attractive and topical site that young people will want to visit. In providing greater control over site content, the MITAC Partnership Management Console allows local managers to keep content fresh. |
